Tue, April 11, 2006 - 1:05 AMOk IT WAs a blast. My set was early I played in the big area from 9 til 10 30. I played slow breaks mostly. I had a crowd of like two girls for the first part then 15 people by the end.
I think every one was still setting up thier camps. The party at the peak of the night had around 100 people give or take. THe Ambient area was slick. It was pretty cold so they built a fire. It felt like true texas all us freaks and rednecks all tripp'n balls around a campfire listening to ambeint music...
They had also built a fire next the Psy Stage. I spend most of the night staying warm and socializing with people. WIchdocta did a wicked sunrise set. Cool to see amost the whole party still getting down..They go late here...
THe venue was spectacuar. It was at a private campground like 30 miles outside of town.
IT was where burning flipside was held in past years.
There was a large covered area, A swimming pool, and plenty of space.
THe people here are very nice. Southern hospitality is a deep part of the culture.
Everyone has this real friendly but still have a no bullshit mentality.
THere was all sorts of people at the party.. Rednecks, Mexicans, Hippys, and freaks all getting along just fine.
I really like the culture here......Good party scean I look forward to more in the future.
