The Return of the Intergalactic Showdown in a ghost town...

On August 11th, Ooze System will be hosting the return of The Intergalactic Showdown. This event has not happened in over 2 years due to uncontrollable circumstance, but is back this year, and we are very much looking forward to it's return.

The event will take place in the saloon of an abandoned ghost town built in the 1800's. This venue is totally amazing and one of a kind, of course, and requires a bit of tight coordination, so that we may respect it to the fullest. So in order to keep the coordination on point, please send an email to intergalacticshowdown2007@yahoo.com if you wish to attend.

Audio navigation will traverse through downtempo, midtempo, breaks, dubstep, techno, psytrance and more.

The saloon is a beautiful structure that has been looked after by the Historical Association, so it is in good shape and is secure.

The event is 21 and up, and there will be an open bar. The Intergalactic Showdown will take place just outside of Grass Valley in the middle of the forest of the beautiful foothills (between Sacramento and Reno)

There are 100 presale tickets available for $25. After those are gone, there are no more. There will be NO door tickets. This event has sold out every year, so make sure you get yours right away. There are only 100 tickets, so it will be a perfectly sized intimate event. It is first come first serve.

Ooze System and friends will be infiltrating Sacramento Decompression with intentions of dropping some heavy bass and spreading mischief in an unexpected manner.

Here is the info:

It's that time once again to reconnect with our Playa friends and all those that just would like to see why we're having so much fun doing these crazy fun events. If you've wanted to see what Burning Man is like and the great people that are a part of it this, then is the place to be.

Wear your best Playa Wear. We like the creativity you bring. But don't worry we won't run you off if you don't.

The cost is only $5. Where else can you get this much fun on a Saturday night for this little? Additional donations are always accepted for our other costs and to make future events even better.

We've had to move the event to another location other than Horse Cow Gallery this year. It's in Herald, south of Elk Grove. But don't let that stop you because this year were going to extra effort to make it worth your energy to make it out.

Bring your Playa toys, Art Cars, Burn Barrels and Art installations. Bring some of the things that were at your camps at Burning Man this year that you used to make them unique. There's plenty of room to camp, so bring your tents or RV's and camp with us. The event starts Saturday afternoon and will continue through the night until you run down.

We have a full lineup of great DJs well known all over the north state. So come ready to shake some booty!

Directions:

Take Hwy 99 South (or I-5) from Elk Grove,
exit at Hwy 104 which is Twin Cities Rd, go east approx. 8miles and where Twin Cities Road makes a curve to the left (marked 45 mph) just before the Rancho Seco cooling towers, go straight! Don't make the turn!
This is Clay East. Go to the top of the hill and turn right onto Kirkwood.
Follow Kirkwood to the end where it makes a right turn (15 mph) and becomes Montfort. Approx. 0.6 miles on the right side, look for 13585 and turn right through the green gate.
Follow the driveway past the shop building on the left and the party is there!

Alantais Dream LA review.

I played a party in LA this weekend called Alantais Dream. It was held outdoors about 20miles out of town at a ranch.
The sound was great It was a turbosound stack. Their decoration was amazing. THey whole place had an aquatic feel. I went on right after David Starfire, His music was pretty cool, he does this middle easten breaks style. My set was tecnicaly good I got to test out some new bass lines on a real system. whooop, I really like LA and hope to come back soon.

Art Outside Austin Tx Review...

This was pretty cool. I had preformences on both friday and saterday.
Friday night My father and I went to a Jerry Jeff Wallker show earlier in the eveing.
For those who don't know Jerrry Jeff Is classic country. We saw him at a place called
"Broken Spoke" I wore a cowboy hat....If you didn't know any better you may think I's a Cowboy. (whitetrash yess..redneck...yess...cowboy I am not..) IT was a great show.

So the event was at a place here in Austin they call the Enchanted Forest. It's a large peice of property in the middle of Austin. As you walked into the though the gate into a huge dome.
Past the dome lead into the forest. THere was all types of hanging from the Tress. THe whole thing had a very Burning Man feel to it. THere was all sorts of interactive art projects. Noise makers, Graffiti artist, Large scuptures..Ramdom bizzare things... There was pyro's with thier cool flame toys. THis guy even had a Teslicoil that harmonized and could be played with a Keyboard. I'll get some pics posted.
THe stage was set up across a small creek. THere was room for people to dance on stage and some did. However for me it was a bit more of a preformance gig rather than dance floor thing. THe venue was amazing They light the creek on fire while I was playing. It made for a very surreal enviroment. IT's hard to say how many people I was playing for but it was around 300 including the people off in forest.
The next night I played at 1:00 AM It went great I knew what to expect this time. My set was flawless and people responed pretty well to it. Again it was a bit more of a preformance than dance floor. Really cool to do a differnt type of show a lot of the crowd was people who in other curcimstances would not listen to electonica but becuse of the enviroment and my preformance really enjoyed it. ANd of course there was a soild group of freaks and weridos that tuned into my frequencys.
SO I met some great people and am looking forward to playing an Outdoor party next weekend.
I feel real lucky to have been able to play such an amazing venue with such a large crowd.
GOOD TIMES IN TEXAS FOR SURE!!!!

Boulder Review.

Holy shit what a good time out here in Boulder.
The club looked great. Raja had spend all day building a giant bug zapper. The room had four double 18inch JBL speakers, Two JBL tops hanging from the roof then another two tops straped to the bass bins. The bug zapper sat in middle of the stage and had blacklights in the middle as well as a strobe light that would go off from time to time. They also had visuals shooting behind to giant bug zapper. I set up on the right side of things in front of the speakers stack. The dance floor had about 100 people on it when I went on.
I had a buzz in the system that was not there during sound check. Once I started pushing bass the buzz was no longer noticable. At first I think the crowd was not sure what to do. But by a half hour into my set I had that place fugging grinding. I would breakdown the music and they would start cheering.....Then blam......Hit em with the Sause. I put a house beat behind some bass and they went nucking futs..
What a great crowd. I had girls dancing on stage with the bug zapper in the blacklight. Real movers and shakers on the dance floor...

BOULDER FUCKING ROCKS...

Never have I had someone take such good care of me as FAMILY Productions.They are so nice and so hospitable. They were on top of their game. Raja is truley an good hearted kind sprit.

Tribal Revival Review...

Yo this was a Vibing party! It took place in a T>H>C Church out in the jungle. THe spot was fucking cool. All the people were amazing.
Atomikdog played a slaming set. As well as Ripple and Friction. Very cool that I got to intoduce these guys to the scene out here in Hawaii. We had 120ish people show up. They danced,Triped out on all the Visuals and got to rock out on a good sound system. This was one of my favorite partys out here.
THis was also my last party in Hawaii before I leave back to main land.
So Big thanks to all the wonderful people out here who made me feel right at home. It's a great communinty and I am glad that I got to be a part of it. Thanks to Ripple for renting the sound. And Big ups to Oliver (Jinci) for laying down a good set and freaking us out with the visuals.

I played at a party in the jungle outside of Hilo this weekend.
The party was inside a small studio in the middle of the jungle. The dance floor (which was the whole house) held about 60 people. This was one fun freek out. The whole party had about 150 people show up. There was an outside lounge area filled with beds and couches. They put up real orchids everywhere, lots and lots of flowers. It looked great. All the people were vibe'n for sure. It felt like family.
I played a good soild set. I had the roof shaking! I had a good dance floor everyone was responsive to the music.
After I played this guy Oliver set up. He has a cool software live set. He had a touch screen that sat flat on the table that he ran albelton live off . As well as two midi controllers on each side and a midi keyboard. He played nasty glich and breaks. After his set we linked our gear together and jamed for about and hour. This was hella fun. We played really slow noisey shit. Like 90 bpm large bass waves, with narly noise being cut over the top. The dance floor by this point (5 am) was all face melt and spaced out. We made brains fall out onto floor. His gear was midi controlled by mine, and then ran through my sampler. Our gear was talking to eachother and doing some freaky things. The touch screen laptop is really cool for doing ableton. He had part of the screen set up like a kaos pad so as he moved his pen on a X -Y axes it would morph the music. TOO cool.

Sunrise was great. It was cloudy but all the mist in the jungle made for a very surreal experiance.
What a amazing tribe of party people here on the Island. They have made me feel right at home.

Maui review

Magic in Muai for sure.
The first night the party was way down on the south side of Maui.
Great spot next to the ocean. Haliakia ( the moutian ) stood str8 up.
They had a carport and an EZ up covered by a parashoot to help keep things dry becuse it was raining. It was cool when it started raining everyone crowed under the carport. It kinda felt like a club it got crowed with 100 people. Ooah, Kraddy ,SOTEG,Edit all played well. I didn't play becuse of the rain. The sunrise was EPIC. It rained one last time then we all saw a giant rainnbow. The ocean, the Mountian, the rainbow, the earth freaks, it was amazing.

The next night the party was at this house called the house of bliss.
It everythig in this place was fung shway. It had a dancefloor, speakers mounted in the conners, they had two projectors not to mention the fire shooting swiming pool. I set up on the floor. I had a hum in the system so as I am trying to trouble shoot the buzz.This asshole comes up behind me and starts talking shit about my music. He thought he was the next DJ. He starts
moving things around I turn around and say. " whoa hold on..WHo are you, why are you unpluging things?" He says" I am Luie the Fucking Mole....Who the FUCK ARE YOU!!!" Or vibartions were getting nasty. I said " I'm Zapper the mother fucking wipper snapper....Bitch"
He then turns down my music. I take two steps on the dance floor and turn around. He says " You can't walk away"
I say " I will... you fucking dickhead you turned me down" I then walked back over to the mixer and slaped my channel back up.

So someone else had flown this Lui mole guy out from New York.They did a house music club earlier and this was like the afterparty. THis guy was the biggest DJ ego prick I had ever met.
So I got to play the rest of my set however I was a little shook up by this whole thing. I mean the Maui sceen is groovey peace love all that. And then to have this fuckhead all up in my space really through me off.

Well Lui the Mole didn't stop there. Ooah and Kraddy were doing A VS set on laptops. He unpluged Ooah. And gave them a bunch of shit as well. So after Ooah got unplugged the music stopped and the party was over.
So it only takes on asshole to ruin a perfect party.

I loved all the people I got to meet and connect with on Maui.
Big Respect to all those keeping it real. Their sceen is really cool.
I hope to come back and play some more partys.

HEMF REVIEW

Oh my goodness what a freking good freak out.
On Friday afternoon I played on Coconut Island in Hilo Hawaii. I walked across a 200ft long foot bridge to get on the island. It was a public park that was rented out for the day. Amazing location. Green Lawn, Plam trees.
There was around 150 people there when I played at 5:00. I played a soild set. It was bit early but good, I got people up and going. The sunset was amazing. The fire dancers were off the freaking hook. WOW. The Island closed at 10 pm. I then went an after party at a beach house a few miles away. The sunrise was epic...The aqua water, the sky, the amazing earth freaks I with..Wow.
The next night the party was at the Place Theater in downtown Hilo. When y walked into the lobby it was filled with groovy freaks shaking their ass and drinking the free chi that was availble. The lobby looked almost like a ballroom with tall ceilings and sutble decorations. Then I walked into the theater. Too Cool...... Satssi (SF VJ amazing) was shooting fractal patterns onto the huge movie screen. In front of the sceen stood the DJ. In front of the dj they had removed seats to make a dance floor. The dancefloor had well over a 100 people. THen past the dance floor was the rest of the theater with seats, Lots of folks were in the seats smoking ect...
I played in the lobby at 12:30 I had a VIBING dancefloor. Everyone was really tuned into the frequencys I was putting out. The room was filled and freaking moving. I love the interface that I get to have with a crowd. We took it places...
So after I played and the party ended at 3:00. I went back to the Beach house and again reeked havok and played with fellow earthfreaks until well past sunrise..
Then there was the pool party. The pool is at this alteritive resort in middle of the jungle. MTV could never even come close to how cool this pool party was.
Fabouls half naked feaks all over the place. A dark swimming pool, two hot tubs and glitchy downtemp0 music. And in the middle of a jungle in Hawaii.WOW The whole weekend was Magical.

So I am looking forward to making new friends and connections on the Island. I am Off to Muai this weekend to play a Party with
SOTEG, Ooha, Kraddy, Edit and Danny Corn.. I tell yall all about when I come back....

local float! The actual float is pictured in the group photos of this tribe.

The Purgatory Cruiser is a fire shooting space pod of doom.
The float needs a lot of work, and with a little help from the
community, we can get this beast on the road and represent
our area in this years Love Parade in San Francisco. We want
to represent our beautiful local scene. We are asking
for a $10 donation that will be put directly
towards parts for the Purgatory Cruiser.

Meet in the middle review

Wow Reno is fucking crazy! It was a sleazy rave party. I loved It!
I played a good set. I kept pushing to much bass and making the generator breaker pop. It's Ok it's always good to test the sytem. They must have had like 500 plus people show up. The party was in a canyon way down a dirt road. Hella people got stuck up to their axles on the road so everyone was blocked into the party unil like four in the morning. There was two rooms I had about 150 people at the peak of my set in my room.
Mr. Rogers & Officer Bunch laid it down. It was cool to see those guys rock a good crowd like that. They played the best music of the night. My only compant about the party was there was a lot of bad cybertrance.

They had a bus parked behind the Djs and Hella cute girls were dancing on top it. Lights shooting off the top of the bus aswell. Good party. Sleazy But good.

Thanks so much to everyone for coming out, and making this year's Showdown, the best one yet.

This has definitely been the best summer yet, and I don't know if it can be topped.

Mucho thanks to all the DJs/Performers and all the DANCERS for all around, keeping that dance floor popping until the sun came up.

Thanks so much to Zak, Bunch, Kris, Samantha, Anton, Kevin, Lucas, Ross, Kirstin, Benny, Joe B, Bear, Wink, Dustin and anyone else I am forgetting, for helping with the set up and everything else. I could not have done it without you guys.

I have already worked on cleaning that place on Sunday, also today (Monday), and I will be going back out there for more clean up on Wednesday. I'm really surprised that people can throw so much garbage on the ground of such a pristine and historical site. I feel it would almost be the equivalent of me taking a dump on the Mona Lisa. Sheeeesh!

Anyway, we really defeated the cops on this party, and that was one of the best things that has ever happened in all my years of throwing parties. I told the sheriff that it was a private party and that he could not come in. He then told me he could. I told him it was private PROPERTY, and he said "no, this is public property and I'm going in" (which it isn't) He was about to just walk in anyway, and after telling him NO, NO, NO NO NO!! He finally called in to the station and they told him "NO" as well. He then grumbled "ten-four" and said good bye.

So rack one up for us.

We actually DO have rights. Imagine that. Who would have thought.

Pheniox Fest Review

WOW, What a great time.
I met so many wonderful people.
The festival was amazing. It was kinda like a mini Burning Man.
I camped with NovaTron Lounge. We had a great camp.
I got to play on the Novatron system and @ Pot Luck camp as well.
I had hella fun doing live pa Jams with everyone. I post photos as I get them.

Tipper blew my fucking mind. It was great to see Nova Tron & Atomik Dog right after Tipper. THey sounded so fucking good on a big system like that.

July 4th.. G V >>>Bennys Beer blast was a blast. The first part of the night was a great house party. Lots of people, lots of girls, all of them dance'n. I played a good set and people were responsive to my music. However like a lot house partys after about 1:30 to many dudes in wifebeaters with budwiser showed up. There was some Drama..

July 7.
Noctural Beats ONE Year Ann...Sacramento.
My set was early so not many people saw the first half. The room filled up nicely for ths second half. I made the amp turn off and had to reset it. ( too much bass ) Other than that It was a good set. I always like playing Noctural Beats It has been a staple in the sac sceane for one year now. Atom One brings some great acts to town. I enjoyed seeing E-Sassin in the jungle room.
GAMMA had the upstairs slamming at closing time. Lots of fun. Props out to Atom One for Keeping it real.

July 8 Fredricks.. Incline Village NV
I was lucky enough to be invited to play at a small club in tahoe. The crowd was small and mellow like 30 people . I played slow tempo breaks for them. My set went well & the people there seemed to enjoy it. I was great to meet some new people and connect with the Budda sound system guys. I look forward to doing more events with the cats in the future.

July 9th R>E>D Reno NV.

This was a fucking cool party. It was like half hour outside of Reno out in the dessert. The party was surrounded by huge rocks that suck up like four stories in some places. Reno is really kinda the wild west still. The party had a real punk rock vibe to it. Not much decoration just a some red lights and tiki torches. They had about 200 people show up. I saw pretty narly fight when I showed up. A bunch dudes where beating the shit out of eachother.
Not cool. However it did not last too long and the assholes left shortly afterwards. Like I said the party had a punk rock vibe to it.

My set was Great. The best one I played all week for sure. Even though darkstar synth crapped out me. It was having some sort of inturnal problem. So I just did the set wtihout it. The crowd was Rocking. People were so crowed around my equipment it was all wobbling back and forth. I just let it happen. The crowd really enjoyed the music. They made hella noise for me all through my whole set..

So right at the end of Mr.Rogers set the cops show up. The music stops..
The cop asks how everyone is doing.. The crowd cheers & hollers. The cop tell us that the last Rave Party that happened out there did not get cleaned up and that we had to clean up all of the trash tomarrow. The cop also told us to not drive home if we were drunk or on cemmicals to sleep & then drive..
Then He told us to be safe, Clean up, and have fun!

Dude I played my set on the ground right in front of the speakers. I normaly don't put my equiment on the floor. I always thought it would be cool to try out. The problem with playing on the floor in front of speakers is that all I could hear was bass. It was shooting right up my ass, I could not hear my highs. So I bent over stood up, bent over ,stood up.
The set was casual, I just kinda let the music move slow and do what ever.
I totally was stoaked on the Dudes who came up and played my digeridoo.
I love live imporove interaction like that.
So, Never again will I set up on the floor It really didn't work as well As I thought it would. It looked better on paper.
So great party, Big ups to Ateraxia kids.

Bloom recap.

Oh my god, What a lucky friday the 13th! What fun!
We had about 150 people show up. The crowd was great, everybody was keeping it fucking REAL. The Party looked amazing.
We got the sound to the location at 10 pm by 10 30 the sound was going. By 11:00 The deco was all set up. Loki opened up with his cassic sac jungle sound, followed by Red eye Jedi who came up from LA. Scedeche played a rock'n techno set followed by ATom One who played A slaming Jungle set.
I played some nasty psyidelic techno. Officor Bunch give us some ripping psytrance. Sk put down some freaky breaks.
Then MR.Rogers played an AMAZING Sunrise set. It brought tears to my eyes to see everyone still fucking rocking it at sunrise. The Location was so gourgous! The rolling hills, The foot bridge to get to party, the creek. And All the smile'n people.
